#6: Save PDF Content as Word/Excel

Although this feature has been in Acrobat in some form or another, saving PDF files as Word documents now has improved preservation of formatting and layouts. Adobe states that, “…relative positioning of tables, images, and even multi–column text is preserved, as well as page, paragraph, and font attributes” (see Figure 9). I find it to be much more robust and spot on with the conversion process.

Expedite reuse of content by converting PDF document data to Excel file formats. Even select a portion of a PDF page and export it to an editable format (see Figure 10).
