With 14 lessons I was able to cover most of the book in two weeks, spending about 2 hours a day. I found the book easy to follow, and the activities they proposed interesting. I attempted my first solo piece and though it took me about 4 hours, I was able to flip through the book and find the help I needed. I think this book is excellent for beginners...like me!

Unfortunately, I got all excited and clicked "order" before this book hit the shelves. My mistake. While a good tutorial for Photoshop newcomers, this had very little info on new features. Adobe should just call this edition "Adobe Photoshop Classroom in a Book" and leave CS6 out of the title because it is virtually the same as the CS5 version. Other books by Kelby or Evening have way more information for about the same price. So I'd steer away from this unless you absolutely know nothing about Photoshop or want the step by step tutorials included on the CD.

*NOTE* There is a link at the end of the eBook that allows you to download the tutorial files. So, you can in fact get the files and the videos for this book.That said, great guide. I haven't used Photoshop in a while and this was a great guide both as a refresher and to learn the new features of CS6. |
