Page Preview

Multiple-page Fireworks documents can be previewed prior to opening or importing the file. The benefits of this feature vary, depending on how you're accessing the file:

  • If you're opening the file, you can browse the pages in the file and select a desired page. When the document opens, the selected page will be active.
  • If you're importing a page, you can import just that specific page into a new or existing document. Fireworks will even generate a new page in the target document, so your artwork can be completely independent of the other pages in your design.

There's just one small caveat to this feature: For Page Preview to work, the file must be in Fireworks PNG format, and it must be saved from Fireworks CS5 before you open or import, so that preview thumbnails can be generated.
