Create a Shared PDF Review Using Acrobat.com for Easy Managing and Review-Tracking

Article Description

Acrobat X has a lot of ways of sharing PDF files with others so that they can review and comment on the file if necessary. While those services are very useful, Adobe expert Brian Wood focuses on how you can access Acrobat.com from within Adobe Acrobat X to share a PDF with others as a shared PDF review. He details how you can send your document for review, track the review, and review and comment on the PDF.

Track the Review

Next, I’d like to focus on the initiator (you), so that you can track the reviewing process.

  1. With the PDF still open, click Track Shared Reviews in the gray message box. This opens the Tracker (see Figure 12).
  2. Figure 12 Open the Tracker

Looking on the left of the Tracker dialog box, you can see all of the reviews that you’ve sent and joined, and a listing of the PDF files. Clicking on the PDF name under Sent on the left will show all of the information so far about the review: information such as where the “_review” file is, when it was started, who the reviewers are, and lots of other great features like emailing all reviewers, adding reviewers, changing the deadline, ending the review, and more. I love the Tracker because it’s an easy way to open the reviewed file.
