Code Snippets Enhancements

If you’ve used the Code Snippets panel in previous versions, and you’re not an ActionScript 3.0 hero, you realize that the panel is designed to make it easy for non-programmers to start using simple ActionScript 3.0 quickly.

In Flash CS5.5, new code snippets allow you to add code for touch-screen user interaction. This is great for when you are creating those apps for iOS or Android. The Code Snippets panel also now has a heads-up display (HUD) that allows you to view ActionScript code and a description for each snippet. You can also drag and drop instance references in the HUD code display onto instances on the Stage (see Figure 5).
