Assigned to review 90,000 pages of Acrobat document in connection with a lawsuit, I was particularly interested in Acrobat's Search feature. KINDLE users- DONT BUY THIS BOOK!,

Disgruntled that I had to buy a book before I could learn how to use the software (which was not cheap), I decided that as I had to do it I may as well get the book written by Adobe. The non-kindle version comes with a disc, as the only way to use the book is to do the worksheets- as the book is actually an interactive workbook. I liked that idea. Well, on the KINDLE version they have you paste a URL to your browser to get the forms that you need to do the lessons. The URL did not work. So I went to the website directly (peachpit) to try to access the forms- no way to do it without paying money for the forms that I ALREADY bought by buying the kindle version. I tried a few different ways to get the forms that I was entitled to so that I could learn to use the software. Nothing worked. So the ebook tells you that if you have problems, to email the peachpit company for help. I did so, explaining the issue. Meanwhile, I have a business to run and really cannot wait around before learning...

Though we had hoped for more advanced content, for people that have used Acrobat in the past, most of this book will be a quick look through not needing any real application. Still, it does cover the basic advance functions as well so for the beginner this book is a great place to start. As with all of the Adobe Classroom in a Book series books, this book will take a reader from knowing almost nothing about the software to a point where they can proficiently use the software with employable competence in the workplace. However, it will not take you to the place of an advanced user; only experience using the product will get you there, even if you find books that help you get there. We always buy the Adobe Classroom in a Book series books to have in our office for new tranies and as a reference to all of us that have already used the books to get where we are today.
